On Sunday, 27 May our Perth-based Intensive Crew, headed up by WA Ambassador Sharon Knapp, are once again participating in the HBF Run for a Reason. They are seeking your support to help them raise valuable funds for the Foundation.
Sharon explains why you might want to consider supporting the Crew: “There are so many wonderful charities out there these days, so why support our cause? Well, we will give you some amazing reasons.
Cancer, strokes, pneumonia, asthma, organ transplant & motor vehicle accidents are just a few. Any of these can cause you to find yourself or a loved one in an ICU. Intensive Care Foundation funds the vital research to assist these patients have the best chance of survival. You never know if someone you care so much about is going to end up in an ICU ward, but if they do, wouldn’t you want to know they have the best possible chance of survival?
If you would like to sponsor Intensive Crew, please click here. All donations over $2 are tax deductible & could help to save a life. Thank you for your support.”
Sharon speaks from experience. Her eldest son, Dwayne, suffered terrible injuries in a car accident and spent weeks in intensive care back in 2009. Dwayne has since made an amazing recovery and he and the Knapp family are an inspiration to all of us at the Foundation. Sharon’s fundraising initiatives over several years have been outstanding and have involved her entire family and vast network of friends. The Intensive Crew are off again on 27 May.
