Following a blind review of the EOIs by the Foundation’s Scientific Review Committee we have now moved on to the next stage in the process. We have contacted all of the EOI Applicants and approximately half of them have been invited to submit full applications by Wednesday, 30 May. We regret that we are unable to provide feedback to unsuccessful EOI Applicants.
Invited Applicants are reminded that Foundation Grant funds cannot be used for general overheads, including the infrastructure levy imposed in some cases by the universities. Applicants are advised to be conscious of this condition of funding when calculating their project budgets.
All invited applications received by the due date and conforming to the Grant Guidelines will then be blind assessed by our impressive team of volunteer reviewers, drawing on an outstanding array of expertise from across Australia and New Zealand. Each application will receive at least two blind assessments before the shortlisted Applications proceed to the Scientific Review Committee in August/September for their detailed deliberations and final funding recommendations to the Foundation Board. The Foundation Grant Awards will be announced at the ANZICS/ACCCN ASM gala dinner in Adelaide on 13 October.
