The Foundation had a presence at the 2019 Annual Scientific Meeting, held in Cairns in early June. The Meeting, organised by the Australian and New Zealand College of Intensive Care Medicine, had as its key theme, Trauma and covered a variety of aspects including Injury, Severity and Treatment.

At the recent ANZICS/ACCCN Annual Scientific Meeting gala dinner in Auckland, the Foundation Chair, Dr Gill Hood, presented almost $250,000 in Research Grants to eight researchers, including five novice researchers, who remain a special focus for Foundation support.
